Beach Tennis

Beach Tennis is part of a new wave of hybrid sports taking the world by storm. The sport combines elements of tennis and volleyball and is played on a beach or sand court. With only one other venue offering the sport in New Zealand, Volley South and the Otepuni Community Hub are proud to be bringing this exciting sport to Invercargill.

Beach Tennis - School League

Volley South and the Otepuni Community Hub are offering Beach Tennis. This is your chance to try Beach Tennis, with all equipment provided. Soak up the summer vibes and try out this new, exciting sport!

Venue: Beach courts at the Otepuni Community Hub (40 Forth Street, Invercargill)

When: Thursdays from 4pm 

Cost: $24 per player for 6 weeks (introductory offer)

Registrations Open: 1 August 2024

Registrations Close: 2 September 2024

Overview Release: 3 September 2024

Consultation and Feedback Deadline: 5 September 2024

Final Draw Release: 6 September 2024- week 1 starts 11 September

Supervision Requirement: Zero we have a contained area and staff.

Winter tournament week 2- 6 September

Week 1: Thursday  12th September 2024 - please advise which of your entries can not start week one so that they will be put in for a double game later in the round-robin weeks. 

Week 2: Thursday 19th  September 2024 (Travel teams in)

Week 3: Thursday 26th  September 2024

School Holidays

Week 4: Thursday  17th October 2024

Week 5 and 6 : Thursday 24th  October 2024 (Travel teams in) doubkle round semis and finls
